Former leader of the Donbas Russian separatists and veteran of the so-called "SVO" - Pavel Gubarev responds to Dmitry Rogozin's statement regarding the deadlock situation on the Russia-Ukraine front due to the balance of forces. Gubarev writes:

* I would add to Rogozin's words that on many sections of the front we are attacking, while the enemy is defending. Because of this, we are suffering incomparably heavy losses."

* "The Armed Forces of Ukraine are completely satisfied with the current situation and do not particularly need any peace. Considering their effective work against our oil refineries, with 26% of production destroyed, the situation created is strategically beneficial for them."

* "At the same time, state propaganda continues to mislead the public, as if the Ukrainian army is faltering and we will soon win. In reality, the current situation is already tantamount to defeat for us. Russia does not have the capability to complete the special military operation with the achievement of set goals and victory under the colonial system of the current government."
