Anyone interested two (today):

While I suspect many people know about this, I've received a private message asking about the reference to the PDA. Here's my response:

The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada 1998 Annual Convention & Trade Show is being held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto March 8 - 11. It started as a technical forum but has since added an investor forum as well. The talks are normally quite technical, although some companies do give "rah-rah" speeches. There is also an area where a number of us, perhaps a hundred companies, will have information booths, which are visited by investors and other companies. We often talk about deals at these shows, exchange ideas and information, pass out kits and answer investor questions. A one-day Trade Show pass is $50Cdn but there are
other guest and student rates. For investors, it's a very good chance to meet with senior company officials face-to-face and to get a broader feel of who is out there, what they are doing and, in my view, get a feel for corporate style -- how hard companies are working at selling themselves, their credibility and frankly, their sense of faith or desperation.

I hope this helps.
