NCR cash registers, model 2760, is
noncompliant and the company web site states
they will not be developing compliance patches
for it.
There are reports of workarounds, but NFI at
this time.

ThanksDave,
The NCR site is www3.ncr.com
lots of info on their products. I have a model
ER246 Royal cash register which I have tested
and won't work properly either. I wonder how
many small retailers out there have registers
like this that will have problems in Y2K. How
many of them know about it? Have you asked any of
your local merchants about it? I asked 6 local
resturants about it back in Dec. Out of 6 one of
them (a new one) was OK. Try it yourself and see
how many of them have a clue what you are talking
about. It would be interesting to see the
results here.
