Back then Homer Simpson’s wages supported a family of 5, now Americans can’t make end meet so they run far left and right (in politics), some go nuts and shoot people. I had a nutcase in Russia trying to kill a professor when I was a freshman. He wasn’t a student, he traveled from St. Petersburg to Moscow with the specific purpose to kill him because the professor was a famous TV show host. Well he tried to kill him with a axe, but the professor defended himself and took the axe from him and killed the guy striking him with axe handle. The professor was acquitted of course. So many witnesses. Here in America the professor would have been dead with most of the lecture hall, hundreds of students, and the shooter... And that’s why I am a Democrat, the only party that wants to take the guns away, not very popular with conservatives. Aussies did that, take the guns away, and the shootings stopped. Figures.
