During a visit to North Korea’s Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Complex in mid-September, Kim cited the reality of modern warfare and said developing the core technology and artificial intelligence for drones was a “top-priority and important task” in modernizing North Korea’s (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or DPRK) armed forces.
