The issue is, in case of a home invasion you can lose if you own a gun no matter what happens… so I personally don’t own a gun. The invaders have guns so you could get shot dead. If you just shoot the invaders
you have to have a really good attorney or you could wind up in prison for life for murder. Sure it’s self defense but it is raised as a defense to a murder charges which usually carry life in prison sentence regardless of degree of murder. So you can get your degree down for first to second but still get a life prison sentence.
Then of course the invaders are more likely to shoot quickly. So, get a hunting rifle if you like to hunt for some meat in the woods, but use the police if you get invaded.
