I came across Touchstone on one of the prog sites I frequent, and these two tracks — Zinomorph and The Witness, Part II — are often cited by fans and reviewers as prime examples of why Touchstone earned respect in prog circles.

It’s worth noting that the band hasn’t released a major studio album since Oceans of Time (2013), and their lineup has shifted significantly. Former vocalist Kim Seviour and singer/keyboardist Rob Cottingham left in 2015.

Hayley Griffiths (formerly of Karnataka) joined the band for live performances in 2018l

Still, in their earlier era those songs really do highlight what made them stand out — strong melodies, emotional vocals, and guitar-driven moments that linger.

Unfortunately Youtube doesn't have any live performances by the band that I've stumbled across. Still give the songs a chance. I think they're really great. Adam Hodgson's guitar work at the end of both songs is fantastic. It's really memorable.
