There is certainly nothing inappropriate nor improper for management of a corporation to encourage support for its agenda.

And neither it is improper for the BoD to spend corporate money (even if an entirely insignificant amount) for it to put forth its own vision. That's done with some frequency, particular among EV makers lol. Entirely legal under SEC rules, and at times essential to the existence. Certainly after the cluster that happened in Delaware, it would silly not to get the message out.

This is like Trump using taxpayer money to run ads saying what a good job he is doing, and he is doing that.
No, it is nothing like that. What I see is the BoD encouraging shareowners to vote for the Board's vision, driven by the vision Musk set out on Autonomy Day. because Tesla has been astoundingly successful so far.

It makes sense. You kill off Uber in one swift move (which it has now recognized is deadly to them). The other competitor has a couple years to go, minimum, to become competitive from a manufacturing and cost standpoint.
