They need to formally warranty control arms.
It's such a common failure point that it's considered a maintenance item.
Tesla under-specified them for the original Y, but they were redesigned for 2025. Maybe it will be better going forward.

The good news is that they usually seem to be treating them as a warranty item, if you complain about it: teslamotorsclub.com
