Hey Tim, I almost forgot about this one. They make some excellent equipment, but my worry is that they also have lots of competition. Many of the products are available from at least two or three others at nearly comparable price and quality. I use the term nearly comparable, because I think they are a little better quality than Jerrold, Scientific Atlanta, Phillips, or Texscan. Also they are coming out with a new, compact fiber optic "mini-node" for pedestal or aerial strand mount applications. I am going to check it out for design of what I call a passive HFC architecture. Instead of a fiber node that serves 500 or more homes via coaxial cable and multiple amplifiers for the last half mile, I am trying to come up with a system that works with a low cost mini fiber node to serve about 30 homes, and less than 1000' of coaxial cable with no amplifiers to the home. This would support analog cable TV, telephone, digital video and cable modem over the two fibers to the node and one coax cable to the home via a passive tap. It's really my idea of last mile technology that is far simpler than the FTTC Switched Digital Video Systems that are hyped on other threads. I'll let you know what I think of the new CCOR product as soon as I check it out. They'll probably roll it out later this year at the Western Cable Show. Maybe it will help boost their earnings in the upcoming year. By the way, did you buy in at 13? This one's a little scary for my menu, but I'll keep my eye on it and see if anything resembling a trend starts. Ray J.
