The Samsung Exynos 2600 chip is on the way, as it has just entered the mass production stage. According to a report from Korea, which has happened ahead of schedule, which are great news for Samsung.

As many of you know, Samsung had some issues with the 3m Exynos 2500 chip. It was supposed to fuel the Galaxy S25 phones, but the company ultimately had to rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite instead, across the globe.

Samsung’s 2nm Exynos 2600 chip has entered mass production
Back then, Samsung decided to bring full focus to its 2nm Exynos 2600, and that chip is right at our doorstep now. Yes, it’s a 2nm processor, and it could end up fueling some Galaxy S26 series smartphones.

Samsung wanted to get that chip ready in time, and it seems like the company managed to do it. The testing has been going on for quite some time, probably, as the Galaxy S26 phones are expected to debut in January next year.

Samsung Foundry’s yields are still on the lower side
The report, however, claims that Samsung Foundry’s yields are still on the lower side. Regardless, that chip is expected to fuel some Galaxy S26 phones, depending on the region. Well, at least according to rumors.

In the past, Exynos chips were primarily used in Europe and some other regions. The US and China were using the Snapdragon chip when it comes to the company’s Galaxy S flagship smartphones. It remains to be seen if that will be the case this time around as well. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will fuel Samsung’s flagships in some regions, though, that much has been confirmed.

It’s also worth noting that Samsung has slashed 2nm wafer prices quite a bit recently. The company is trying to bring up the heat and compete with TSMC to the best of its ability. It remains to be seen what will happen moving forward, but Samsung is trying.

PS
Golly.
