Recent news on gold and silver futures prices BEFORE THE CLOSE today: Silver nears record in hockey stick rally, gold approaches $4,000 an ounce finance.yahoo.com A few of my major holdings in silver and gold stocks today were deeply into the red for most of the day, but accelerated into green territory in the last quarter-hour of trading. I'll be back in about a 45 minutes to post on the closing spot prices for gold and silver.
