Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on 30 September that Tel Aviv’s forces will not withdraw from Gaza, despite a new US “peace plan” calling for withdrawal.

“Instead of Hamas isolating Israel, we turned the tables and isolated Hamas,” the premier said.

“Now the entire world, including the Arab and Muslim world, is pressuring Hamas to accept the terms we set together with [US] President [Donald] Trump: to release all our hostages, both living and deceased, while the IDF remains in most of the strip,” Netanyahu added.

“No way, that’s not happening,” he said in reference to withdrawal.
