It takes the competition (Ford and GM) six years to build a truck. One that looks and acts like every other truck on the planet.

If I were in Elon's shoes I would keep making them, just in smaller batches. As long as I could sell a few. I am pretty sure Musk has every aspect of the costing and margins worked out. No reason to get into a panic and dump it.
