OT. URI. This stock represents confirmation to me that:
More than just usually, I don't know what I own. Always, I am making more than a few mistakes in buying/holding/selling.
Poster stock for me as to why I always want to keep a stub position.
I sold most shares in 2020. Why not? Stock was up, some said fully-valued, and company being in construction/remodel business, it's a cyclical business. Or should it not be considered such? Decided to buy a few more in 2022 because I had so few shares. Still in total, just a very very small stub holding. Have had no problem tracking it on screen, but not really following the stock or business.
Anyway after five years, URI up 400% on the few stub shares I kept, and 200% on shares of 2022. Just leaving those few shares alone, and surprising to me, I'm up several thousand dollars (on paper a/o today) from that. |
