That makes sense.

As a moderate who will vote for both parties, I think the GOP went too far to the right with abortion and DEI to the point it is embarrassing the fanatics are erasing parts of history we should be ashamed of and not forget (Wounded Knee). Yet the Democrats picked the wrong issue to fight back on as the electorate has ALREADY said we don't want to pay for health care for illegal aliens at the expense of programs that help legal citizens.

My guess is people are afraid of comparing pigeons with "deplorables" to say what I tell friends about why Mountain View has MORE homeless even after all the money they've spent... "feed the pigeons and more show up."

In the mean time, the GOP is making the Democrats look like fools to all but the die hard who will endorse anything they are told to on the far left.
