my point is still correct in that 80% or so of the US favors letting women choose.

The issue is decided state by state, so if 99% of California peoples think that women in Texas should be able to have abortions, it doesn't really matter any more than what women in Holland think about women in Texas having abortions.

Obviously 80% of the people in Texas do not think abortion should be legal, otherwise it would be legal in Texas.


I agree women should be able to have abortions, but I'm less eager to tell those who disagree with me that they must do what I think proper and legal rather than do what they think proper and legal.

I also don't quite understand the legality of the restrictions. When abortion is illegal, who's breaking the law? The doctor? The Mom? Both? I find it sort of hard to believe that the law can order a pregnant woman to carry a fetus to term when she doesn't want to do so. I doubt such laws will last on the books for decades.
