Rory and most of the Euros live and work in the US. Most went to school in the US. The wives and kids are US citizens. They are neighbors and friends with the guys on the US team. Some very close.

Comments I've heard from the US players reflect an acknowledgment of inappropriate fan behavior, but they tended to frame it as a minor issue within an otherwise passionate atmosphere. Some of them compare it to the rude crowds they faced in Italy two years ago.
