XPENG had another great month of deliveries. Rather than slow down after recent highs, sales sped up. In the month of September, XPENG’s customer deliveries were up 95% year over year and also up 10% month over month to a new record high. With 41,581 vehicles delivered, it’s the first time deliveries surpassed 40,000 units in a month.

Looking at the 3rd quarter as a whole, sales were up a whopping 149% year over year, reaching 116,007 deliveries.

In the first nine months of the year combined, XPENG’s vehicle deliveries were up 218% year over year to 313,196 deliveries.

Below are interactive and static versions of the company’s monthly and quarterly sales charts.

“In September, the 10,000th New XPENG P7 officially rolled off the production line, making XPENG P7 the fastest model in the Company’s lineup to achieve 40 JPH (jobs per hour) on a new production line,” XPENG added.

“XPENG was also awarded the highest MSCI ESG Rating of AAA for the third consecutive year in September, maintaining its leading position in the global automotive industry.”

In other words, the company is leading in multiple ways. It is also excelling in its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with 83% active user penetration of XNGP among urban drivers. “The Company has rolled out its VLA-powered XNGP with door-to-door full scenario ADAS capabilities, starting with the New XPENG P7 and G7 Ultra models.”

What’s next for the company? Who knows? Can it keep growing month after month and quarter after quarter? The trend can’t go forever, but let’s see if XPENG can keep it up through the end of the year and perhaps even approach 500,000 sales in 2025.

I’ll be covering NIO’s sales growth next, but below is a visual comparison of XPENG’s and NIO’s sales trends.
