Your shares are getting diluted. You could have sold on the day of the announcement and buy back cheaper after they finish the rights offer and reprice the shares. That is usually what happens with these.
If you are going to hold your shares and not participate at least sell the rights.
The math can get a little complicated, this is where it pays to have a service like Stanford chemist or Doug Albo. Sometimes it pays to just buy the rights on the market.
For what it's worth, D. Albo put out an article on it a couple of days ago with a buy.
