I have previously stated that a good time to own BDC's, in my opinion, was when interest rates were rising, and a bad time to own them was when interest rates are declining. Over the past month I have been trimming back on my BDC exposure, tomorrow I am going to liquidate 3 of the 4 BDC's in the Legacy Portfolio. The income isn't needed, the owner wants capital growth at best, and capital preservation at worst.

Below is a chart showing how the BDC's own have been performing since it was widely accepted that interest rate cuts were coming, and we already got the first one.

I will keep MAIN for now.
