Re: I really hate buying and then selling but I see your point. If I were holding OBDC in a portfolio where someone was 10-15 years from retirement, I'd keep it and set it up on dividend reinvestment. But for us older folks, already in retirement, we do need to consider capital preservation. The proceeds from the BDC sales tomorrow are temporarily going into SGOV. In 3 weeks a new earnings season arrives and that's probably when more cash will go to work.
