Your alias now makes sense. Thanks for clarifying the payment system for radiology. As a retired neonatologist, I understand some of the payment issues that were brought up. But I also know that the rules have been in state of flux, at least for other specialties, since covid and increased use of telemedicine so I wasn’t sure.

As to the malpractice costs, I was referring to an article from around a decade ago that talked about differences in costs between countries without malpractice issues and the US. I have no other knowledge as to what legal costs add to the total cost for radiology studies. I do know that radiology is one of the high risk specialties for lawsuits. Just curious as to what constitutes the technical fee? Are some of the legal costs hidden as part of the technical fee?
