I wonder how Russia planned to move this Buyan-M class missile ship to the Caspian Sea, if that was the destination from where the cruise missiles were to be fired at Ukraine. I believe Turkey does not allow warships to enter the Black Sea from the Mediterranean. The Caspian is not connected to the Black Sea and the Caspian seems to only have access from a few rivers that are a great distance from the ship location on Lake Onega.

There is a Wikipedia page on the “Caspian Flotilla” that describes the Russian fleet in the Caspian and it is said to include 3 Buyan-M class corvettes plus other types of navy ships.
