I was late to the MAIN party, always waiting for a better valuation which didn't come. I have MAIN in the Legacy Portfolio and it's up +52%. It's in the taxable account and I have locked in more profits than the account owner wants, so I don't need to trigger any more taxable events. I don't have the losses to offset them.

Since I usually start with a small starter position $2-$5K and I don't add to it unless price rises, losses are kept small due to the smaller position size, both in percentage, and more importantly in dollars.

For example, in the taxable account, in the Legacy Portfolio, there are 70 holdings. The total dollar loss not yet realized is $1,540 and unrealized gains of $188,412. Can't do much tax loss selling there.
