True. But most cases are when an unvaccinated US citizen travels to another, less developed country where the disease has not been totally eradicated and bring it back. Usually missionaries since they often go where vaccinations are not as prevalent. Why they were unvaccinated and going into those areas, well we leave that as an exercise for the student. AFAIK, there are but a handful of cases via the vector you describe. Most who enter the country, via any mechanism, are from areas that have been contacted and vaccinated.
