Hey, I've been trying to stimulate some discussion on this dead thread for some time. There's been a lot happening as you know with the impending release of the Monster 3D II.

I've been spending my time over at Yahoo, visiting both DIMD & CREAF threads & lurking over the TDFX threads.

Nothwithstanding all the controversy over the Voodoo II chipset boards, stock price performance is not surprising. Why? DIMD's overall market is about to take off. It has scored some major hits with Dell & now aligning itself with Intel, by supporting the 740, which is just the beginning. Intel want a share of the graphics chip market & it will not settle for a small segment.

DIMD's approach to its markets is similar. This is why all the badmouthing of DIMD by the gaming enthusiasts are so misplaced from an investment point of view. The high-end 3-D market targeted for the gaming enthusiast is just a small piece of the business. Sure its important for DIMD to excell in this market segment, but the money to be made in 3-D will not be limited to the high end. The middle market & lower-end, IMHO, are potentially much larger. We're talkin' growth here; we're talkin' volume.

I the following wire is evidence of where I believe DIMD's strategy lies. biz.yahoo.com
