Reading through the AMD Instinct™ MI350 Series GPUs website they list Inference first over and over instead of "training". While these GPUs can do training it looks like AMD is positioning them more for inference, which is right where Qualcomm wanted to provide their AI200 solution.

On the other hand OpenAI diversifying away from Nvidia for inference is a good sign, but we will have to see. AMD's solution still is a GPU, where Qualcomm's is an NPU.
