The lack of Western media coverage of Ukraine counterattacks on Russian military and petroleum industry targets might be caused by the absence of credible journalists and interviewable witnesses in Russia. It’s dangerous for any Western reporter to work there and probably also for Russian civilians who post news or videos about damage to Russian facilities. Mostly for the Ukraine attacks on Russian targets we only have postings and videos on social media sites and these may not have enough credibility to meet journalism standards so that the news is not released by the Western news outlets.

Whereas there are many Western journalists and witnesses in Ukraine, so we get lots of coverage of the results of the attacks done by Russia.
