I understand your reasoning, but I don't experience any stress while watching my PF gyrate, because since Schwab has forbidden any buying in my account I have no thought of doing any trading for a few years at least. At some point when the shine starts to go off the metals (esp. uranium) I will cash in, but that point is a long way away. Now it's just entertainment.
