Shared the same apprehension as you, believe me. However, VZ just became intolerable once they began what I felt was a "taxation" fee for using their services. They were forcing us to migrate to an all you can eat flat rate plan and when I said no, don't need it - don't want it - they applied the taxation to make up the difference but without the added perks.

The TMUS migration was not without problems. Tech support was problematic, however, they worked out all the kinks. All numbers ported over. Would have been a disaster otherwise.

Ended up paying about $5 more per month in total, but got a spare cell phone to use - which replaced the house phone. So in the end, there is a savings all around.

Their 5G speeds absolutely make VZ's laughable. Speed testing on both networks was eye opening. TMUS 5G speeds were at least a factor or 10x better than VZ's - with testing done in various geographic areas.

Of course, after we left VZ - back they came with free phone offers, major discounts, etc. All of the stuff they should have been willing to extend to me to keep me after decades of loyalty. They are only loyal to new subscribers, in my experience.

I'll never go back to VZ if I can help it.

But I do still like adding up their divvy payments!
