RE: If anything, I’d say that the premium is telling you that the NAV is going higher and the market knows it. We disagree on whether premium/discounts matter that's fine and that's what makes a market. If your investment style works for you that is all that matters, but I align my investment style with CS, D. Albo, activist investors such as Saba, Karpus, Bulldog and numerous others. The activists get involved because they have a good track record of pressuring fund managers to shrink the premium to create alpha for themselves and fund investors. Most bail after the premium is gone. The premium isn't telling me the nav is going higher see below. I consistently comment here to follow the nav, it's the most important indicator for CEFs and PDI's has been going from top left to bottom right, so it's not investable for me at this time.
