Re: Topbuild Corp (BLD) 425.40 +29.16 (+7.36%)

Paul I did not have the conviction in this company as you did but still started a small tracking position in May 2025 at $277/share. It's + 53% in less than 5 months !

I missed HD but do own BLDR.

TopBuild Corp (BLD) has acquired Specialty Products and Insulation (SPI) for $1 billion in an all-cash deal, which closed on October 7, 2025. SPI generated about $700 million in revenue and $75 million in EBITDA for the trailing twelve months ended June 30, 2025.

This aqusition was ALL Cash and a GREAT Buy!.

TopBuild Corp’s cash-on-cash ROI for the SPI acquisition can be estimated using the trailing twelve-month EBITDA and total purchase price. The acquisition price was $1 billion, and SPI delivered around $75 million EBITDA in the last year. After factoring in expected annual run-rate cost synergies of $35–40 million within two years, EBITDA could rise to about $110–115 million.

Thus, TopBuild’s forecasted cash-on-cash return on the SPI acquisition is between 7.5% (pre-synergy) and about 11% (including cost synergies expected within two years).

Hope you have you BLD shares and have added to them.
