For right now I'm holding off adding gold while it's trading over $4k/oz. There is some thought that the US government shutdown is contributing to this latest pop so I'm thinking of waiting until that ends and see what happens.

No matter what I want more gold, just not sure now is when I want to add. Listening to Bloomberg radio in my car the last 2.5 hours impacted that. An analyst said he thinks Gold has run past where it should. But he also said there is exactly one market which Gold is not overpriced next to - the S&P.

I will buy silver. It's trading (just) below the 80:1 gold to silver ratio indicating it may be the way to go at the moment.

So to put my money where my mouth is, I just sold half my LOW. Splitting the proceeds into thirds with 1/3 going to SGOV and 1/3 to SLV. Before my drive I was putting the other third into IAU but gonna hold off as I mentioned. We'll see if I find something I want to put that into or I may just let it sit for a bit.
