The training ground is a replica of the road network and government buildings in Taipei's special zone, which includes the Presidential Office Building. The training facility is located at the Zhurihe Training Base in Inner Mongolia. The mock-up of the Bo'ai Special Zone has been expanded since 2020 to include more government buildings and a tunnel. Analysts believe the replicas are part of China's combat-oriented training for a potential invasion of Taiwan.
