Chowder that seems about right to me too. She matches the company 5% and tries to add a bit when she gets a raise. We started an IRA some years before the company had a 401k plan and I give her the money for that each year. There we buy individual stocks. She picked the fund herself and has never gone to see the advisor in spite of my urgings. I suspect he will suggest something other than what she is doing. She has a bunch of questionnaires to fill out so he gets some idea of her profile etc. Should be interesting. Finally seems to be thinking about retirement and the long term. Appreciate the feedback from you and others!
