Hi Augie, We covered the garden for the last two nights. Taking then off today. I've picked all of the larger tomatoes and have another double batch to make (18 to 20 quarts) over the weekend. Jan is done with her Italian gravy making and gave the last of the large tomato pickings to a friend in Pilates - she is Italain as well and will make gravy as well. We're in the middle of jalpeno picking (I need another 50 Jalapenos and 50 serrano's. The rest will go to jalapeno jelly and bread and butter jalapenos. The rest of the Jalapenos will go to poppers during the weekend watching football. Accuweather says it will warm up for the next week 60's and 70's with the lows in the 40's and 50'd , so we'll see if the trut kicks in. We're burned out on gardeniong and canning by now. I'll pull the plants and harvest the pumpkins and squash for Halloween. I'll leave the sunflowers for the turkeys to enjoy when snow covers the low bushes and their seeds with snow. This always a fun time of the year to relax and do some deer hunrting. Bob
