Tomahawk launchers used on decommissioned US Navy frigates, which typically utilized the Mk 41 Vertical Launch System (VLS), are technically modular and have been demonstrated in trailer-mounted and truck-mounted configurations in ground-based roles by both the US Army and Marine Corps. These systems can be repurposed for land use with dedicated engineering and adaptation, as seen with the US Army's Typhon ground system and USMC's demonstration of trailer-based launchers.

  • this is the likely path..........I think it could definitely happen
  • multiple frigates have been decommissioned
  • many "modular" launchers available
  • the engineering effort might have been going on for months already
  • at "Ukrainian" speed, how long could it take??
