I imagine that if you had contracted SARS, and didn't die, you would have had some immunity given that it is a related virus. But that was a more of a factor in Asia than NA or Europe. Which is why when COVID wandered on the scene, many asians were still masking.

But "some immunity" isn't the same thing.
