Minus the RW propaganda machine. 1930s had some right wing paper and radio outlets. The current regime has several TV networks in its pocket, is consolidating its control over tiktok, xitter, YouYube, WAPO, and other outlets.
Back then people were hungry and restive; there's plenty of grievance now, but not near as strong as then, with much more anesthesia. Most of us still eat regularly.

And FDR isn't the one in power.
