Yeah, I can get on board with that. However, I think you could make a case that the end of the equal time doctrine effectively weaponized Gingrich. Don't forget that without the Clinton health care push in 1993, you probably don't have that massive mid-term loss by his party, and Gingrich isn't such a huge deal in 1994. The Clintons couldn't read the room and ended up with a massive mid-term party loss as a result. Rove was "the architect", but I would put President Cheney far ahead of him on your list. If you have Rove so far up on that list, you'd need to have Lee Atwater ahead of him. Atwater was the OG of doing whatever possible to get the office of the president. Atwater could eat Rove and James Carville for breakfast back in the day and still have room for dessert. Sadly, he passed away before he ever had the chance.
