Thank you for explaining your rationale in detail. Chowder also said earlier that capital preservation is a consideration. It's important (I think for anybody), but has higher priority for some people. Bottom line is for anybody who already has had enough, why take unnecessary risk, right?

You seem to be able to stay on top of everything about investment/portfolio management, and I have to admit that I am a slow learner.
