Archaeologists find hidden message in ancient graffiti in Crimea Researchers have discovered mysterious graffiti in the ancient settlement of Artezian at the altar of the Zeus Genarcha temple in Crimea. Findings regarding this graffiti were published in the journal Ancient History. The graffiti inscription was found on a temple plaster, which was supposedly deliberately hidden under a large slab. The whole thing was placed in a pit present at the east of the temple. However, the inscription remains indecipherable; researchers are hopeful that once they uncover the meaning, they will learn more about the practices that took place in the Bosporan realm.
