For the Windows 10 remaining like I mostly am, I went through the ESL process ready to pay $30 for another year for 10 devices. But a surprising thing happened in the process. First of all, make sure your programs are up to date, BACKED UP, and your PC can handle them.
Through Windows Update there should be a link to "enroll in" or etc. I forget the exact terminology.
All I know is, click that, and they'll ask you for your account. You can create a new account with your existing email but obviously use a different password!
Once that is confirmed there is an anti-robot test you have to go through. And after passing that it should confirm you. In my case, it said somehow I had saved my Windows settings and I was enrolled for the next year of Win10 Pro Updates. A few relatives have also done the same over the weekend. FYI.
Was ready to pay but seems free for another year for now? Good luck to the rest of you but will be applying this across a few machines.
