I disagree. The head of the ROC has indorsed Putin's attempt to take over Ukraine. They are into it clear up to their crosses. More like gawd is Kirtill's hand puppet.

  • "Metaphysical" struggle: Patriarch Kirill has framed the conflict as a divine struggle against Western liberal values, which he claims have fallen into "Satanism." This narrative positions Russia as a defender of traditional Christian values.
  • "Sacrifice" for sin forgiveness: Kirill has promised that Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine will have all their sins "washed away," equating their deaths with a holy sacrifice.
