Maceng2,
H1-B Status: The modern equivalent of an iNdEnTuReD sErVaNt.
What bullshit. Straight out of the MAGA echoverse, right down to the same phrases.

Fact is that these H-1B visa engineers are also very well-paid compared to what they would earn back "home." They are not voluntary slaves, as the phrase "indentured servant" blatantly implies. They are fully skilled workers providing knowledge-based services that are in short supply here.

And they know the deal when it comes to green cards. It's hard to get, and being here on an H-1B visa doesn't guarantee a green card. But they're going to make the most of their time here, both in terms of compensation and in terms of experience. If they end up with a green card (and that's assuming they were going for one), great, but if they don't, that does make their H-1B period useless.

The only ones who are calling them iNdEnTuReD sErVaNtS or even sLaVeS are the entitled MAGA cultists who don't want to compete with them. They are the ones who think immigrants are making them poor.

I have news for you guys. It's not immigrants who are making you poor. If you can't compete in a global marketplace, it's your own damned fault, and you shouldn't rely on the Mango Mussolini to make you rich rich rich ...
