A lot of Americans are getting a very hard lesson about who pays tariffs. My daughter ordered a $30 item off of e-bay from Canada. With shipping and taxes, it came to $46. But today she got an email from UPS that they won't deliver it unless she shells out another $36 to cover Trump's tariffs. This is after the purchase! I advised she refuse. If e-bay dispute and credit card dispute don't work, she may have to eat the original purchase price. But I certainly wouldn't accept a fee not brought to my attention up front. Trump is screwing a lot of people, and I think there is a good chance that e-bay shareholders may be among them come earnings.
