Can't see how that could turn into a difficult extradition case. Looks like an incendiary baloney news story to me.

I have had to deal with tinkers before, and they can be a rough lot. In my case it was about a £100 lost, peanuts as far as I am concerned, as it was obvious these guys could certainly handle themselves. It wasn't the driveway business in my case, I was being "donated" a brand new diesel generator which they just put in my vehicle as they said they had just finished a job and it was excess to requirements.

They said they just needed some beer money for the ferry back to Ireland. They were sharp as new paint too.

They were not taking a "no" for an answer either, so I just played along and said I would give them £100 for it.

It was a dodgy situation, I considered just taking out the phone and dialling 999, but that might have started something.

I am sure many tinkers are not like that, but there is a set on them that play the quick & sharp con game.

Will quickly resort to physical violence too. I have no doubt on that score.
