Impose tariffs on foreign-made silicon? No, that's st00pid, especially given the complexity of modern high-tech.

Slap a $100K annual fee on H-1B visas? Great idea, now we'll be severely limited in badly-needed expertise.

Get Japan, Korea, and Taiwan to verbally agree to billions of dollars in domestic manufacturing? Sounds nice, except ...

Throw a bunch of Korean engineers into jail, the very engineers that are needed to help build the factories here? Again, absolutely bRiLlIaNt idea.

Threaten to oust the CEO of the only American silicon manufacturing company based on social media disinformation? Once again, absolutely bRiLlIaNt idea.

No matter what, Joachim, everything Trump touches turns to shit. That holds especially true for his meddling in semiconductors.
