My apologies, but saw jritz0's comment on SA and thought I'd take a look -- and intrude with a comment.

Over the years numerous articles on central bank gold acquisition[1] gave me reason to resume buying Sprott's Physical Gold and Silver Trust (CEF).

The price run-up over the past five+ years has been unexpected[2] -- thought would have more years to acquire additional shares at a substantially lower cost.

Similarly, started buying Majestic Silver (AG) in early September of this year -- due to my belief we're likely to experience a shortage of silver within the next five to ten years[3] -- and was disappointingly surprised when the share price ramped up immediately after my initial purchase. Like my experience with CEF thought I'd have a year or more to acquire shares at a lower cost.

Too often tend to think linearly in a very non-linear world.

Best wishes,

Kiisu

2. Started buying CEF decades ago in my 401(k)[A] -- back when the fund was named the Central Fund of Canada and paid a small annual dividend each Nov.

In late 2018/early 2019 convinced myself to sell it all -- thousands of shares -- at almost $13/share. Bought a number of DGI companies with the results and gleefully patted myself on the back.

About a year later (in early 2020) decided I'd been somewhat hasty -- though continue to find the increased anticipated annual dividend income comforting -- and started reacquiring shares of CEF.

B. A few years after retiring, rolled the 401(k) over to a tIRA followed a short time later by a ROTH conversion.
